The FVA is co-running training sessions with Top Step Junior Cycling as a fun raiser for both organizations. We ask for a $5.00 donation to support and promote the junior racing program and the FVA programs.
Come and join us at the track! Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights from 5:30-8pm. Learn to ride on the velodrome and gain the fitness and power track cycling provides. Training exercises are varied based on attendance and experience. The following are guidlines on what to expect:
Monday focuses on techniques like paceline exchange, standing starts, best track line for the flying 200. and mock short distance races.
Wednesday is Motorpacing with our scooter, Lefty! Play in our motorpacing games like lap the scooter, finisih line sprints and kieren runs. Motor pacing participation costs $10 for the 3 sessions on the night.
Friday sessions focus on endurance training with 20 lap exercises spread out through the night.
Bikes are available to rent for $5 for the night, again this is split between the two organizations.
